Worry-Free Orthodontic Care for Kids
Creating Calm, Confident Smiles
Brighter Smiles Ahead
We empathize with the anxiety children and parents can feel during orthodontic visits. Our kid-friendly team creates a fun, calming, and warm environment to ensure a happy, worry-free experience for our young patients. Whether it’s padding appointment time to allow for a slower pace, or simply allowing parents to sit with their child during treatment, we are happy to provide the necessary flexibility for a comfortable, worry-free experience.
What to Expect Throughout Treatment
The American Association of Orthodontics recommends all children see an orthodontist by the age of 7. Through interceptive treatment, children can lessen the need for more significant orthodontic treatment as teenagers or adults.
Interceptive treatment typically lasts 7 to 9 months and is ideal for children who have a mix of baby and adult teeth.
Our Approach
Evaluate, Treat, Observe, & Re-Evaluate
Evaluate
At your first appointment, Dr. Varble and his team will decide if your child needs orthodontic treatment.
Treat
Observe
Re-Evaluate
Once approved for treatment, Dr. Varble will walk parents and patients through the process, what to expect, and answer any questions they have before beginning.
Once orthodontic treatment has been completed, we’ll continue to monitor the progress and development of your child’s teeth.
Once your child’s adult teeth have all grown in, Dr. Varble will perform an additional evaluation to see if your child needs additional treatment.
Orthodontic Treatment
Options for Kids
1
Limited Braces
A single tooth or a small group of teeth can be treated to prevent larger, more significant problems as your child ages and their teeth develop.
2
Expander
An expander is used to widen the roof of the mouth, preventing overcrowding of adult teeth as they grow in, and lessening the need for tooth extractions or additional orthodontic treatment in the future.
3
VO Clear Aligners
A flexible, comfortable orthodontic option for kids, VO Clear Aligners are custom-made and 3D-printed in-house to adhere comfortably to our patient’s teeth. New trays are provided every couple of weeks to gently shift your child’s teeth throughout treatment. All VO Aligners are made from medical-grade 3D clear plastic, for a safe, comfortable experience.

I can't say enough good things about Dr. Varble and his staff. He is professional and answered all of our questions. He spoke to us, but more importantly, he spoke to our daughter. He made her comfortable and for that, I am most grateful.

Dr. Varble and his staff are amazing. My daughter got her braces on today and she was so nervous. They were so gentle with her and took the time to explain each step of the process to her. When we left, she said, “that wasn’t so bad. I could have fallen asleep, His voice was so calming.” I highly recommend Dr. Varble to anyone with orthodontic needs.
