Family-Focused Orthodontics in St. Louis
Trusted St. Louis Orthodontist for Kids & Teens
Led by Dr. Zachary Varble, we bring a private-practice standard of care to families across St. Louis. Fewer in-office visits, weekly monitoring from home, and a smile designed around your face, not a template. Two offices serving St. Louis families in Creve Coeur and St. Peters.
THE VO SMILE
More Than Straight Teeth
Straightening teeth is the easy part. A VO Smile is designed around eight details most people never notice on their own: the width and arc of the smile, how the teeth meet the lips, the proportion and color of each tooth, and the way the gumline frames it all. Dr. Varble plans every case against these tenets, so the result fits your child’s face and looks like it was always meant to be there.
MEET DR. VARBLE
The doctor other doctors learn from.
Dr. Zachary Varble is the son and nephew of orthodontists, but he built Varble Orthodontics to practice on his own terms — every clinical decision his, never a corporate playbook. And the way we practice has made this office a national education hub: Dr. Varble teaches orthodontists from around the country how to use DentalMonitoring to deliver better care with fewer visits, and practices fly to St. Louis to watch it done firsthand. The expertise doctors travel here to learn is behind every single VO Smile.

How It Works
Faster results. Fewer visits. Here's how.
Two minutes that explain our whole process: weekly scans from home with DentalMonitoring, FDA-cleared AI that tracks every scan and flags what needs attention, and office visits reserved for the moments that actually move treatment forward.
Typical practice
Progress is only checked in the office — an appointment every 4–6 weeks, whether or not anything needs adjusting.
Varble Orthodontics
Progress is checked every week from home with a quick phone scan — so you come in only when treatment actually needs hands-on care. For most families, that’s about half the office visits, and treatment finishes sooner.
WHAT WE OFFER
Treatment options designed around your family
Braces
Damon Ultima self-ligating brackets. Fewer adjustments, shorter appointments, more comfortable treatment.
Aligners
A discreet, custom-fit option that works around your family’s schedule. We treat with Spark Clear Aligners for a comfortable, low-profile fit that keeps everyday life uninterrupted.
DentalMonitoring
FDA-cleared remote monitoring powered by AI. Your child scans from home, and Dr. Varble reviews every check-in personally.
WHAT TO EXPECT
What Treatment Looks Like Here
01
It Starts With a Conversation
Your first visit is a free VO Smile Assessment. We take a quick 3D scan (no goopy impressions), Dr. Varble walks you through what he sees, and you leave with a custom plan, and honest answers on timing and cost.
02
Treatment That Fits Your Week
Once you start, most of the work happens between visits. Your child scans from home each week with DentalMonitoring, Dr. Varble reviews every scan himself, and you only come in when there’s a real reason to. Fewer trips, same close attention.
03
The Day You See It
At your last visit, the braces or aligners come off and you see the result for the first time. Not just straight teeth, but a smile designed around your child’s face, finished down to the details most people never think to ask for.
Why Families Choose VO
Care That Fits Your Family's Life
Choosing an orthodontist is a long commitment, often across more than one child. Families come to us because the care feels personal, the schedule actually works for them, and every decision is made by the doctor who owns the practice.
A Smile Designed for the Face
We plan every case against the VO Smile tenets, so the result fits your child’s features, not just a straight set of teeth.

COMMON QUESTIONS
What parents ask most
What age should my child first see an orthodontist?
Around age 7. That’s when enough permanent teeth have come in for Dr. Varble to spot anything developing, even if treatment is years away or never needed. The first visit is a free VO Smile Assessment, and often the answer is simply to keep an eye on things.
Do you take my insurance?
We work with most major insurance plans and file claims for you. At your free assessment we’ll walk through your specific coverage and lay out the cost clearly before anything starts, no surprises. Find more information at: Insurance & Financing
How many visits will this take?
Fewer than you’d expect. With DentalMonitoring, your child scans from home each week and Dr. Varble reviews every scan himself, so you come in only when there’s a clinical reason to. For many families that means about half the in-office visits of a traditional practice.
Braces or clear aligners, which is right for my child?
Both work, and the right choice depends on your child’s bite, age, and habits. Dr. Varble uses Damon Ultima braces and Spark Clear Aligners, and he’ll walk you through which fits best at your assessment. It’s a recommendation built around your child, not a default.
Can we really start the same day?
Often, yes. If treatment is the right call and you’re ready, our systems let us begin the same day as your first visit, so you’re not waiting weeks to get going.
